The following are the generic instructions for setting up the Caylix Proxy settings in your Safari web browser. Depending on your version of Safari and OSX, the steps may differ slightly. The overall concept is that you need to specify a proxy server of proxy.caylix.com and port 3128 in your web browser.
- From the main menu in Safari, choose Preferences
- Click on the 'Advanced' icon at the top right of the window
- Near the bottom of the window, beside 'Proxies', click on 'Change Settings...' The Network Preferences window should display.
- In the "Show" dropdown, choose the correct connection. Choose Built-in Ethernet if you have a highspeed connection.
- Click the Proxies button if it's not already highlighted.
- In the "Select a proxy server to configure" box, check off both Web Proxy (HTTP) and Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS). For both, enter
proxy.caylix.com in the server name field, and 3128 in the port field.
- Apply your changes and surf to a website. You will be prompted for your @caylix.com username and password. At this time, you can decide whether to save that password in your keychain so that you don't have to reenter the password next time.
