Available filtering options the decisive factor

Caylix signs agreement with Dutch filtering company Kliksafe

Nunspeet –
Dutch firm Kliksafe will deliver filtering to Canadian families and
businesses. An agreement of cooperation has been signed with Caylix Internet
Solutions, a filtered internet provider in Chilliwack.

Caylix offers a wide range of Internet provider
services, one of which is filtered Internet connections in various forms,
either ADSL, Cable* or one of several other popular types of connections. “To
provide our clients with the best possible Internet filtering we have teamed up
with Kliksafe”, William Klaassen, Business Manager and partner in Caylix says.
“By listening to our supporters we have observed that there is definitely a
need for a better filtering solution, and this is what we are providing”.

Filtered
Internet Providers

Over the course of time, Caylix has tested
a wide range of filtering products. Klaassen: “There are many varying types of
filtered Internet providers, but there is also a growing demand for filtering
because many businesses are realizing that their employees need to be more
protected while surfing the Internet”. The filtering concept that Kliksafe
offers is definitely the leader of the pack. We are focussing on delivering a
central filtering solution for individual subscribers, but this solution is
also available as a local, customized install for businesses. Caylix, at one
time, contemplated developing its own filter. “But we decided not to.
Kliksafe delivers a very good product and we would rather spend our research
and development on other aspects, such as improving our customers’ Internet experience”.

White and Black
Lists

The Kliksafe-filtering is made up of three
levels: white, black and content-filtering. Klaassen: “These levels of
filtering are delivered separately, but the option to combine them into one
filter is available. This feature was very attractive and also decisive in
deciding to work with Kliksafe. Families and individuals require a different
type of filtering than businesses do. There is an abundance of Blacklist filtering
Internet providers, but there are few providers who offer a combined filter such
as ours”.

Teaming up with Kliksafe does have other
advantages as well. Kliksafe director, Bert Jan Peters, says “Of course, now
many more English sites will need to be screened, but our screening team is
definitely prepared for it. We have no problem screening and adding up to 2000
websites per month”.

Business

Caylix, just like Kliksafe, is an
organisation with a non-commercial business oriented objective. However, according
to Klaassen, most subscribers do belong to one of the many Christian churches
in his area. “We, ourselves, are also members of a church. Therefore in terms
of our identity, it also kind of made sense to team up with Kliksafe, but this
was definitely not the decisive factor. Kliksafe is simply the most reliable
filter on the market”.
